Geothermal Utilities LLC Financing Plan

Until the advent of Geothermal Utilities LLC, the principal concern about investing in a geothermal system was the up-front installation cost, which can be higher than that of a conventional HVAC system. The company's primary role today has been to provide customers with financing options that alleviate the startup costs, as well as provide quality control over installation and maintenance of the systems they finance.

Geothermal Utilities LLC offers its customers a simple multi-step procedure toward ownership of a geothermal system. The process and financing options are made available to both businesses and government agencies.

The steps include:

  • The company conducts an initial meeting with a prospective customer to determine the feasibility of using a geothermal system to heat and cool either a new or refurbished facility or building.
  • The company then brings in a design engineer to develop a preliminary design study and cost estimates for installing and maintaining a geothermal system. One of the factors that are considered is the terrain around the facility or building, since the technology involves the drilling of small bore holes nearby to house plastic pipes that are buried underground, serving as conduits for the earth's energy in and out of a facility or building.
  • Based on the cost estimates, the customer can then decide to finance the system and its installation over a period of time up to 10 years through Geothermal Utilities.

With the immediate energy cost savings generated by a geothermal system, customers can expect to see a quick return on their investment.
